Geometry for AMC-8

Geometry is the archetype of the beauty of the world.

~Johannes Kepler

Geometry begins with the “synthetic” geometry of the plane, that is, with results derived directly from Euclid’s postulates. The basic objects of this study are shapes in 2D and 3D, and the notions of Perimeter, area, and volume. Later we will specialise in Triangles and circles, leading up to the Pythagorean theorem.
